Testimonials

What Parents are Saying

“Jigsaw Childcare is a lovely and homely place for any kid to stay. They encourage little kids to bring with them their favourite stuff to keep them in their comfort zone. Going into Jigsaw is like ‘’home to home’’ always welcomed with a warm heart and a melting smile.

As a working couple, we always have been comforted by the Jigsaw staff and our kids are left in confident safe hands.”

Abilash and Mini

“I chose Jigsaw Childcare for my two kids because of the great feedback and word of mouth I received from my neighbour Paula. Her kids had gone to Jigsaw and when I was looking for recommendations she spoke highly of them. I love that Jigsaw is diverse, commited to the development and well being of all their kids and all the girls working there put their heart and soul into looking after the kids. 5 Star pre-school for me!”

Elizabeth

“When looking at schools to send my daughter to I found Jigsaw to be the most outstanding in not only how they teach the children but also in how much they genuinely care about each and every child. My child speaks about each of the staff as if they were part of our immediate family.”

“I’ve watched my three kids benefit in so many ways because of their educational experiences in Jigsaw Childcare. Kids just love teachers and learn so much in Jigsaw. They are doing a lot of experiencing the world around them. It seems that learning is fun for the kids.

I like that there is no screens, TV or cartoons and there is a friendly, lovely, creative atmosphere. It feels like ‘’home’’ and a ‘’small family’’ where everyone knows each other. I love getting photos of what kids are doing during the week.”

Non-Discrimination Policy

JIGSAW CHILDCARE EQUAL OPPORTUNITIES POLICY

Statement of Intent

Jigsaw Childcare is committed to promoting equality of opportunity.

We promote equal opportunities through a wide range of policies and procedures which are reflected in the practice of our early years setting.

Policies & Procedures

We provide equal opportunities by ensuring that:

Meetings:

The service will convene meetings at a time and venue that enable the majority of parents/carers to attend and to ensure equal access to information and involvement in the service.

Access:

Everyone in the community regardless of religious affiliation, political background, race, culture, linguistic needs, disability, sexual orientation or age, has access to the School.

The Curriculum:

  • All children are to be respected and their individuality and potential. They are recognised, valued and nurtured
  • Activities and the use of play equipment will offer children opportunities to develop in an environment free from prejudice and discrimination
  • Through the proactive use of planning and curriculum development opportunities will be given to children to explore, acknowledge and value similarities and differences between themselves and others

Resources:

All materials are to positively and accurately reflect cultural and racial diversity.  These materials will help children to develop their self-respect and respect other people by voiding stereotypes.  Boys and girls are to have equal opportunity, and be actively encouraged to use all activities

Discriminatory Behaviour/Remarks:

Any discrimination (language, behaviour or remarks) by children, parents/carers or staff/volunteers is unacceptable in the service

Discrimination will be positively challenged by supporting the victim and helping those responsible to understand and overcome their prejudices.

Festivals:

We aim to show respect for and awareness of all major events in the lives of the children and families in the service and in the wider society.

Without indoctrination we aim to acknowledge festivals celebrated by all families in our local community and in the wider society through stories, activities, special food and clothing which reflect the diversity of life. We have a sensitive approach to father’s day, mother’s day etc. and welcome parents contributions.
